Innovation and Quality Management in Networks
Abstract: Many organisations are transforming from stable, well hierarchical organisations to post-modern flexible networks of entrepreneurs. Flexibility and change are the pre-dominating paradigms in contrast to prediction and controlled performance of the traditional company. Which are the guiding paradigms of ensuring quality in such organisations and how do Quality tools have to be developed further in order to take in account these types of organisations. The talk will explore on basic features of such organisations and provide some practical tools for the quality manager tool-box to add.
Biography: Anni Koubek is head of innovation at Quality Austria since 2007. She is responsible for innovation, business planning and also acts as management representative of Quality Austria. She has been working in research and science for more than 20 years covering the full spectrum from basic research in the field of elementary particle physics to applied research (educational multimedia, ICT, e-collaboration) and science management (head of university). She is involved actively in several international organisations, carrying ahead the field of quality, such as ISO, EOQ or IPC.
