ABOUT THE PRESENTATION
The European Health Futures Forum
In this rapidly changing environment, are our current methods of delivering healthcare sustainable or even fit for purpose?
Are they resilient (in the sense of having the capacity to adapt to major stress)?
Have we lost sight of health as a holistic context embedded in the matrix of society that has many actors, but particularly health, education and business, that could work together to improve citizens’ health?
What futures methods might help us approach strategic thinking about these issues in a more realistic way than the predominantly nineteenth century approaches that are currently employed?
These are the principal questions which motivated a mixed group of thinkers and doers who wanted to have dialogue across silos, to get together to start an organisation that has the express aim to try and change society for the better, using summercamp principles.
Sounds crazy? Judge for yourself!
